I’m going to tell you something: That boy’s finger does not need to be on the button. He could not make a decision in that simulation that related to a nuclear threat to this country.

Not that there is ever any excuse for calling an African American man “boy,” but in case you’re wondering this racist jackass is 49, not 79. And, yes, Geoff Davis is his real name.

The good news is there is at least one democrat running for this seat, Dr. Michael Kelley. Kelley’s website is a little thin, but he wants to get us out of Iraq and to fix healthcare. But, let’s face it, unless he kicks puppies and eats babies, he’s likely to be better off than this GOP asshole.

So, as I said at Talk Left, this Clinton supporter will be throwing $25 to the Act Blue fund to help the democratic nominee in KY-04 tonight (see
http://www.actblue.com/entity/fundraiser…). Because I want to make the statement that this bullshit is unacceptable to ALL democrats, not just Obama supporters.

Davis’s “contact” page (http://geoffdavis.house.gov/Contact.aspx) and several phone numbers, the main one appears to be 202-225-3465. So feel free to contact his office and tell him, politely, exactly how offensive his comments are. I plan to note that, as a person who grew up in Kentucky, it’s embarassing to see one of the State’s representatives make such racist remarks. It is a poor way to represent the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln.

Update II: Davis has apologized (see http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2…). Kind of a pathetic apology, if you ask me and certainly isn’t going to keep me from sending $$$ tonight to his opponent.
