The unity pony throws us a bone

A highly recommended DailyKos diary takes the generous “contrarian” view that Hillary should be “allowed” to participate a little bit further in the democratic process:

I think that by allowing the Clinton campaign to continue further, say through May 6 and NC and Indiana, Clinton supporters will see they have had every opportunity to try to make their case to persuade Democrats to their point of view and will not feel resentful that party elders stepped in and deprived them of that opportunity. At some point it will be necessary to bring the process to an end.

Thank YHWH for the Obama Rules.

Otherwise, our heads would explode from trying to comprehend why Hillary-leaning superdelegates voting their consciences and commitments would be evil, as we’ve heard for months, yet it will be a necessary and salutary act to euthanize the Clinton campaign, once her supporters are sufficiently grateful for being “allowed” to participate a little longer.

It’s a beautiful sentiment. Hillary has always depended on the kindness of strangers.

teacherken? That teacherken?

Scuse me. I’ve got to go gargle. The sanctimony left a bad taste in my mouth. Gotta admire the guy, though. Wolcott eviscerates him, and he just keeps on typing. Guess he’s “allowed”…

[x] Any (D) in the general. [ ] Any mullah-sucking billionaire-teabagging torture-loving pus-encrusted spawn of Cthulhu, bless his (R) heart.

Well at least

he’s started to think about putting Humpty back together again for the general election which is more than I can say about some of those idiots who are denouncing him from the OFB side. Still, his sanctimony and ageism doesn’t go down well.

I am reminded of a lunatic I used to know back in my salad days as a college radical in the 70s. At a meeting called by the Arab Students’ Association about some Middle Eastern question, a Jewish student got up to ask a respectfully disagreeing question. At this point our young lunatic (of Jewish origin himself) sprung to his feet, and proceeded to shout at the top of his lungs “Are you a Zionist? Are you a Zionist? Death to Ziomism!!!!!!!!”.

As 95% of the crowd headed for the exits, our young lunatic bravely shouted “Let them go!”. I’m sure the Arab Students’ Association was very appreciative of this “friend”.

What keeps me sane is that Obama is a much better person than so many of his supporters.

This is so funny. Once Jeremiah Wright has finished imploding Obama’s campaign, the Democratic Party should be grateful that Hillary ignored them and stayed in the race. Fox has been brutal with this story this morning, and will only get worse tomorrow, when they supposedly have an even more incendiary tape. We shall see.

What a Jackass

Seriously. However did anyone get along before Ken came to dispense his pearls of wisdom, I’ll never know. /snark

so Unity includes Hillary for a little while, but not Wright,

which is apparently ok with the Daily Obama.

How big of them—not.

Not just the Daily Obama

I came across this one last night over at MyDD

Might I propose my own backroom deal? The Hillary Clinton supporters here may not like it, but here goes nothing: Clinton for Senate Majority Leader….

…If Reid would be gracious enough to voluntarily step aside for Clinton, he would restore his status as a party elder and perhaps virtually guarantee himself a spot in a Barack Obama administration.

Like TeacherKen, Transplanted Texan is graciously willing to not implement this proposal immediately.

Update 11:54 PM: I want to make it clear, I don’t think this proposal should be implemented today. I don’t foresee Pennsylvania and the other remaining states breaking the current bitter stalemate, but obviously we should give them a shot. Once all the voters have been given their say, and MI and FL have revoted, THEN the party leaders should step in, assuming the stalemate still exists.

In your dreams, guys.
