AP:
A wave of House converts jumped aboard the $700 billion financial industry bailout Thursday on the eve of a make-or-break second vote, as lawmakers responded to an awakening among voters to the pain ahead of them if stability isn't restored to the tottering economy.

Well, then, we gotta nuke 'em again -- call, email, write, set a
pick so hard they can't help but knock themselves on their asses when they hit it.
Torture be damned. We gotta WIN this sucker, or November won't matter at all.

Charlie Rose covering this now
Al Hunt is on, and since he called me an irrational voter for being against the Paulson Fix I do not enjoy listening to him.
He’s sure New!Improved!Paulson Fix will pass. But Cokie not sure they have the votes.
Cokie said the House defeat was the most colossally irresonsible vote ever taken in the House. Like the Iraq thing was more responsible???
Give me a break. She says we (the voters who contacted Congress) were far left and far right voices ginned up by talk radio and internet blogs. No, honey buns--there were people who pay little attention to politics very angry about this. Stuff it, Cokie.
Damn, these Villagers really do think we voters and citizens suck the big one—Doris Kearns Goodwin agreeing with Cokie!! All Villagers think alike. Damn.
Guests then went on to lambaste House leadership, Bush, bad representatives who listened to their constituents, Paulson for poor marketing and product naming. Paulson went to Repubs and apologized for not being a better front man!! Now they're tearing up McCain. But Obama was seen to have done well with Big Me$$.
Warren Buffett supports rescue plan not bcz he thinks it's great but bcz Something Be Done Now.
Harwood thinks Big Me$$ will be off the front page after this Paulson Fix is passed. That's pretty optimistic, but maybe the next cratering will take awhile.
Now the group on Rose laughed uproariously about Kerry and wind
surfing. Al Hunt said, yeah, not many people on food stamps go wind surfing.
Dooood, they do! If they have the gear and have fallen on hard times.
I have to stop watching these MCM Villagers or I won't be able to sleep.
