Katrina hit the Gulf Coast two years ago today; and, like the proverbial bad penny that keeps turning up, President Bush will revisit New Orleans today.
Lorenthia Richardson won’t be in New Orleans to greet the President and First Lady. She’ll be in Houston — doing her best to survive and go on, as the sole support of a household now numbering 18 souls in a 3-bedroom apartment.

It never ceases to amaze me that we can consider what happened to Lorenthia Richardson’s famiy not to be a scandal, especially when evidently Michael Vick’s predicament is so much more dire.
