Weekend Plantidote 2012-02-26
Primary tabs
One of the first signs that Spring is on the way is a snowdrop (galanthus), a crocus or a daffodil (narcissus). There are 25,000 registered (named) cultivars of narcissus. Some start blooming in February and some bloom as late as June. They are virtually pest free and easy to grow.

It is always interesting to
It is always interesting to see all of the various plant names that are actually a part of the same species. Especially the narcissus species. Who would have thought that there are 25,000 names.
Sometimes we just want to plant flowers and don't realize that there are so many cheating options because most gardeners don't have that much time.
