Fuchsias used to remind me of Mother's Day. Back East vans with hanging baskets filled with fuchsias would magically appear near busy intersections on the appropriate weekend. I never purchased them because I considered them annuals,(they are perennials in z.8-10.) and because I am thrifty, they are a waste of money.
When I discovered a very large fuchsia in the underbrush at my current home I realised now I could grow them. I was seduced by the fluffy ballerina tutu (comment made by insanely sane on a previous post, perfect description). They don't like heat, humidity or drought. Enjoy the flashy fuchsia finale of Plantidote.
