The Meaning of Lucky in the 70s
"Did you get lucky last night?" was a standard 70s question (at least among us drunks in Sunset Beach/coastal OC) with the very specific meaning of "did you get laid." Funny, no one said "did you make love last night" perhaps because that was, you know, so touchy-feely. Ergo, the phrase "I'm feeling lucky" always cracked me up--but not enough to fuck with google.
