Because I'd really like to know.
Enough with the hair stories, already! I'll believe this ongoing epic of hair coverage isn't a VRWC
-coordinated campaign of hit pieces on the Democrat the Beltway fears most when Rudy's comb-over--or that animal (Seamus?) Rudy's got strapped on top of his head--gets the same non-stop coverage, and the deep analysis about character, and the mancrushes stop, and the Junior-High-grade giggling and sneering stops.
These assholes are very well paid. Why can't they start doing some reporting instead of recycling VRWC talking points? Versailles
stinks because the courtiers keep pissing on the carpets.
Granted, Giuiliana does have good legs:

Oopsie.
Sorry, I forgot to warn you to put down your coffee.
But honestly, you'd think there's a treasure trove of ridicule and fun photos and hair jokes in Rudy's backstory, not to mention the whole Newt-like thing of announcing to his wife that he was divorcing her a news conference. Or the gay roommates.
You kinda envision the old-fashioned city room editor--the green eye-shade, the suspenders, the paunch, the cigar--pointing the cigar at young John Solomon and saying "There's a story there, boy! Go get it!"
But what do we hear?
*** crickets ***
I wonder why that is?
(And if we remember Caberet's setting, the irony is a little too rich, even for me.)

Not Said Enough
This goes too often without saying, and most of the Liberal
blogs are too clueless to point this out. Clearly, these people are being paid to act like this. This shit isn't accidental, it's not the result of the right working the refs, it's the result of allowing corporations which favor one political party to create a system where it can funnel large chunks of money into the pockets of the press. Seriously, when was the last time you saw an expose on corporate wrong doing?
At this point, I've begun to assume someone paying most of these Democratic politicians too. Why else would they abandon every effective tactic that worked for 40 years, and suddenly begin spouting the same 'free markets solve everything' bullshit as the Republicans.
Solomon's "reporting" errors are well documented
Even before Solomon joined Pravda
on the Potomac, his shoddy reporting for AP was well known:
AP left out key facts in report linking Reid, Abramoff
AP's Solomon lobbed more faulty ethics accusations at Reid
Other Edwards hit pieces in the Post by John Solomon:
Wash. Post's Solomon baselessly suggested shady Edwards land deal
Wash. Post reporter baselessly suggested Edwards broke campaign finance law
Wash. Post's Solomon falsely claimed Edwards "opposes" subprime lending - this happened on two consecutive days
Solomon also tried to stir up controversy over a requested $25 million for a project to improve the waterfront in her home district of San Francisco without noting her family owned property near the project and hence violated the requirements of a "key Democratic reform." But there was no evidence that Solomon attempted to contact SFO officials about it. Again, this occurred on two occasions in the paper.
Little Debbie Howell attempted to chastise Solomon over his reporting on the sale of the Edwardses home as somehow had violating "federal campaign law" by insufficiently disclosing the buyers. It obviously has had no effect.
