NOTE Notice how the "get over it" crowd is already airbrushing the record. If the Obama Movement does gain a permanent institutional presence, its myth of origin will contain none of this history.

Don't know what ya'll think of the latest terrible horrible bad evil thing that Governor Palin did, but I hear that not only did she have that terrible pre-marital sex, but she got herself on a PLANE after her water broke (eeewww cooties! Run, Run!) and then she flew for 12 hours.. and gave birth to her child in ALASKA (horrors!) Isn't that AWFUL, terrible, reckless, etc?
It seems the implication is:
A) she is too stupid to know what to do about her own pregnancy;
b) she lied to the airlines, TSA, et al to get herself on the plan.. (she is a sitting Governor so guess that had nothing to do with being able to board a plane with no questions asked..);
c) she and her husband obviously knew the risks they were running blah blah and recklessly disregarded blah blah and they were so lucky it didn't end in tragedy!!
Call me old school, but I can't help feeling that this line of argument only supports the right to lifers who think that women are too emotional to make decisions about their body and that the "child" has "rights" and shouldn't be put at risk.. regardless of what the mother wants to do.. so she should stfu and do what she's told...

I know he's the Blogfather, but hell, even Pop Corleone knew he made a mistake by underestimating the Tartaglias, and thinking his enemies would let the Corleone family become completely legit without a hell of a lot of bloodshed....
and, to continue the Godfather analogy,
when Sonny was left on his own, his underestimation of the enemy led to something tragic for the whole family.
Right now, Obama's hooligans are acting just like Sonny.
