There is not much I can add to the words of the not-yet-decayed Minneapolis Star Tribune:
In an effort to help Idaho Sen. Larry Craig, the American Civil Liberties Union is arguing that people who have sex in public bathrooms have an expectation of privacy.Craig is asking the Minnesota Court of Appeals to let him withdraw his guilty plea from a bathroom sex sting at the Minneapolis airport. The ACLU on Tuesday filed a brief supporting the Idaho Republican.
I was just a kid (well, teenager) when the ACLU fought for the rights of Nazis to march through the heavily-Jewish Chicago suburb of Skokie. At the time I was horrified and rather agreed with people who loudly and publicly burned their ACLU membership cards and denounced the group.
Not any more. I am older, more cynical and more firmly convinced than ever that unless the rights of all are fought for the rights of any of us are for shit. Here’s to Larry Craig, may he win his fight for public bathroom sex and carry proudly the banner of his non-gayitude through the whole upcoming election year.
Okay, I can’t stand it any more, I must stop typing and continue my laughing while officially and heartily rolling on the floor. :)

No, I do not want people having sex in the stall next to me when I am using a public facility. Especially if, for whatever reason, I am not mobile, and am forced to listen to it all.
At the same time, and for much the same reasons, I don’t want the police in the stall next to me, either.
I suggest that the solution is the same as for obnoxious cell phone users and that tit-for-tat has been shown to be a workable strategy.
