Maybe because the voters don’t want her to? ABC:
Pushing back against political punditry…
The audacity!
more than six in 10 Democrats say there’s no rush for Hillary Clinton to leave the presidential race – even as Barack Obama consolidates his support for the nomination and scores solidly in general-election tests.
Despite Obama’s advantage in delegates and popular vote, 64 percent of Democrats in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll say Clinton should remain in the race. Even among Obama’s supporters, 42 percent say so.
I mean, just because the “creative class” wants to go on the teebee and say what everybody else is saying on the teebee to those foolish enough to pay attention to the teebee is no reason to do what they’re saying on the teebee to those foolish enough to watch the teebee, let alone believe what it says. Eh?
Interestingly:
Clinton continues as the preferred choice as Obama’s running mate, with 39 percent of Democrats saying they’d like him to pick her if he’s the nominee. That peaks at 59 percent of African-Americans, 47 percent of Clinton supporters and 42 percent of women (vs. 34 percent of men).
Maybe Obama should just throw the pollsters under the bus, too?
UPDATE Maybe shit like this is a reason she won’t quit? Would you? Hey, come on! Where’s your sense of humor? Stay gold, Pony
Boy! Stay gold!

Stop her before she wins again!
Hillary is poised to rack up two blow-out wins tommorrow and next week.
The OFB
keep comparing Hillary to Monty Python’s Black Knight but this is more appropriate:
“Bring out your dead!”
——————————————————————
“We must separate loyal party members from counter-revolutionaries. The first shall inherit our glorious future. The second must be purged from us and history” -Mao Zedong
When the OFB* is loudest
it usually means Hillary is poised for an important win: OH/TX, PA, IN. Now we have WV.
* I include the MSM as part of the OFB
because, let’s face it, they are part of the OFB and aren’t even pretending not to be anymore.
Obama’s May 20 Bash: A Cynical Replay of Election Night 2000

Think not??
I’ll take you back to that fateful night in a moment.
But first, listen to strategist David Axelrod on WCCO, the CBS affiliate in Minneapolis, MN the night of the May 8 Indiana and North Carolina primaries. (The video is the top left “thumbnail” located just above the video player in the event the current news plays rather than the Axelrod video; you will also have to endure a short Coldstone Creamery ad).
MORE MORE MORE in the blog post! Tell me it ain’t so after you read it….
'Low-information' turns out to mean ...
“Believes their frienz on the TV”.
A much-needed blast of good, pony-free news. I’m loving it.
I’m one of those folks who wrote the DNC using their own postage to register my displeasure with 2025 being the new 2209. And I even still kick bucks into HRC’s campaign.
But even with all that, I would never believe that such a question would possibly get a 64% positive response today. Wow.
Stay Gold, Ponyboy!
That’s an interesting Axelrod video. Thank you, oh famously free press, for choosing our President for us!

imagine how it would look for
Hillary to drop out, and then for Obama to lose 1/2 the remaining contests even tho she wasn’t running anymore?
Check out August Pollack's latest

A cautionary tale and a metaphor?
(Lambert loves links… what would I NOT do to please him?? ;-))
that's perfect, French
—excellent!
Pledge still on
I just contributed to HRC’s campaign… good thing my colleagues and I didn’t go on strike over our new contract! ;-)
May 20th Victory Celebration !!!
I’ve been very confused lately about what the significance of May 20th was. In SunnyLC’s link, Axelrod admits that they won’t have the necessary delegates on that date to win the nomination, but they will be sufficiently ahead that the SDs will be forced to go with Obama. What am I missing here? Don’t they consider themselves sufficiently ahead in delegate count now? Are they trying to suppress the popular vote in the following primaries? I just don’t get it. If 64% of the Democrats want the race to continue, how will those Democrats respond to Obama effectively calling the race over even though he hasn’t reached the magic number. Will the press even bother to report that he has not in fact reached that number? I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone.
all of the above, wasabi
—they really don’t care what voters want anymore—especially Democratic voters or those voters they used to hold up as examples of his “crossover appeal”.
It's called patience
Soon enough Hillary and her supporters will come out of denial and accept him as the nominee. Her campaign admits to being over $20 million in debt. Obama is putting together the general election campaign and pivoting toward McCain. The decision to end her campaign is hers to make in her own due time. The decision to support the Democratic nominee, a third party candidate, no one, or McCain is up to the voters. Some of us will work hard to get Obama elected, some self professed Democrats but not many, will harbor their grievances for a long time. Come next January Obama will be the next president of the United States.
Go ahead, insult us some more
After all we’re just “self-professed” (as opposed to real) Democrats and we’re not grasping reality because we’re in denial.
We don’t ever have to accept him as the nominee, even if we hold our noses and vote for him.
You however, should take a class on how to persuade people. Unless you’re actually a GOP troll in which case you’re doing a great job.

myiq2xu, he’s just like the rest of them, see sugar.
Yeah, these guys need to work on their people skills
“I’m sorry you’re stupid.”
“When are you gonna realize you’re wrong?”
“We don’t need you!”
“Go ahead and leave, see if we care!”
“You’ll be back when you come to your senses!”
It really does sound like a bunch of abusive men, doesn’t it?
It makes me ashamed to have a penis.

Heh
OFB
only, of course. Not Obama supporters. But your typical uncreative Hillary supporter has experienced each of the modes in this cycle from the OFB countless times. Honestly, it’s as if Republican trolls have totally infiltrated Axelrod’s astroturfing organization, just like the Czarist secret police infiltrated Russian revolutionaries in Czarist times.

and hilarious too… oh and racist as well. :-)
Hey, Lambert

aww, myiq2xu

not surprising, though; the men here are truly enlightened. unlike the OFB
I'm a flaming heterosexual too
Edjucated, white and a former Republican (long ago) so I don’t know where I went wrong. I’m supposed to be one of the HillaryHatin’ boiz, yet here I am.

Frets while looking at wheel
you know that conservative dude is going to run Libertarian, they talk about him being the Nader of the Reps but I have a feeling more Dems will be voting for him than Reps.
*crinch*crinch*crinch*
Makes a pinwheel out of Lambert’s wheel. Draws little ponies on the edge and uses a few of the voodoo pins lying around, sticks it in the neck of one of the dolls, and blows.

Miss Sugar, I think I love you.
… damn, it’s been hard to hear all this crap from people who should know better….
“First of all, so many African-Americans are trying to make Obama something HE IS NOT!!! He is not some product of the ghetto who pulled himself up by the bootstraps and “made it”. He is not somebody who was raised by Big Mama and Pops, barely scraping by from week to week. He is not somebody who “knows our struggle” as so many keep fooling themselves into believing. It’s one thing to vote for the man because you truly and wholeheartedly believe he is the best candidate, but for the great majority of African-Americans, that is not the case. So many theories abound as to why young white guys are suckling his penis like newborn babes to a bottle. I for one think that a lot of them see their mothers in Hillary Clinton and they can’t stand the thought of their mothers running this country. Hell who knows but them, but I can tell you this, it ain’t because they all of a sudden care so fucking much about making sure that African-Americans are advancing. Some of those same white boys who are chasing Obama’s ass are giving some Black woman or man hell on their job day in and day out. Let’s not kid ourselves here. Black people, you are being conned.
So many of you are freely calling African-Americans who support Hillary Clinton sellouts and Uncle Toms when the only reason you like Obama is because the White folks in Iowa said he was good enough. Because, many of you obviously don’t know much about him or you wouldn’t think he’s some product of the struggle. He wouldn’t have so freely left all of his “brothers and sisters” to freeze their asses off while his Syrian mobster friend made off with some cash one fateful winter if that were the case. This should have never been about emotionally voting for a candidate with a similar skin tone, but only about winning. But, you guys have allowed yourselves to be foolishly riled up and misinformed. Wake up before it’s too late. —SUGAR”
All I can say is WORD.
