The word I'm looking for is ... "unctuous"

WaPo:

Near the end of his speech, Obama said he had told Kucinich on the flight: "You know what? It's been such a long time since we made government on the side of ordinary working folks, where we did something for them that relieved some of their struggles."

[Reach me that bucket, wouldja, hon?]

No help on housing. No jobs. A crappy health care bill that forces us to buy junk insurance with the IRS acting as a collection agent, and all to bail out the insurance companies. Meanwhile banksters -- Obama's "savvy businessmen" -- are getting trillions. And Obama wants to pose as the worker's friend? Gimme a break!

The word I'm looking for is.....

vomitous (except I think that it's an "unword").

The word is con, as in con job.

Bambloozle, flimflam, fleece....

Sinclair Lewis wrote that scene over 90 years ago

"... it was inspiring to explain before dozens of popeyed and admiring morons how they could make ten thousand — fifty thousand — a million a year, and all this by the Wonder Power of Suggestion, by Aggressive Personality, by the Divine Rhythm, in fact by merely releasing the Inner Self-shine. ... he knew with serenity that all of his New Thoughts, his theosophical utterances, were pure and uncontaminated bunk. No one could deny his theories because none of his theories meant anything... "

It's immoral

For him to posture like he stands with working people...it's more than disingenuous, more than insulting...it's immoral. He lies without flinching.

He's barely even a man.

Just a few moving parts dolled up and masquerading as a complete human being. He is a living shitstain.

He won't give us a break

He's just gonna keep on lyin.' Obviously he believes that old Abe was wrong and that you can fool all of the people all of the time -- or at least enough of them to keep on winning. Let's show 'em he's wrong.

So...

He's trying to pass himself off as an uber-Kucinich.

Mommy! Make it stop!

Who will believe him?

Like Bush, will he always have around 30% support? Partly bcz people can't believe they could elect someone so hypocritical and manipulative?

Wrong verbs

I think you're misunderstanding. The account should read:

Near the end of his speech, Obama bragged he had taunted Kucinich on the flight: "You know what? It's been such a long time since we made government on the side of ordinary working folks, where we did something for them that relieved some of their struggles."

He continued: "And you know, Dennis...

thanks to ME, it's going to be at least two more years before it happens again. Nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah!"

Never vote for people who hate you.

At what point did he add

“I hope you’re enjoying your last trip on Air Force One.” ?

(We have a better account of that fateful trip from our own connecticut blogger, but I can't find the post at the moment.)

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.

The tendency, shared by all wingers, to project their own thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings, which they cannot admit to themselves, onto others. In psychology, a defense mechanism. Anticipated in the Christian Gospel: "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" (Matthew 7:3 KJV)Originated here here. Usage example: "Sean Hannity titled his book Deliver Us From Evil. That's a fine example of WPS in action."
