Grassroots Economic Organizing has published a very interesting interview with John Curl, author of For All the People, published by PM Press. Worthwhile reading ... it covers a lot of ground and draws parallels between the events leading up to the foundation of the Populist Party in the late 19th century and the events that we will be facing in the decades to come.

Worth expanding into a post!
Tony Wikrent has been a strong advocate of looking to movements in America for precdents and examples, and I think it's right. It's funny how sometimes we know the picture of the rest of the world better than we know "our" part of the world. By design, of course; all lAmericans are trained to think as little imperialists by the education system, WASPs like me not the least.
