AP:
[Ex-Mayor of Waterbury] Philip Giordano entered pleas to four counts of first-degree sexual assault and four counts of conspiracy to commit sexual assault, charges based on allegations that he paid a crack-addicted prostitute to bring her 8-year-old daughter and 10-year-old niece to him for oral sex.
And, my goodness, the stenographers at AP somehow manage to get through the entire article without mentioning Giordano's party affiliation:
Giordano is by no means the first Republican sex abuser, either. In fact, abuse is systemic within all authoritarian institutions, the Republican party being one such, as are the megachurches.
NOTE I need to do more research on authoritarian sexuality... At, er, arm's length, needless to say.

Please, no more authoritarian research
Lambert! No! Not the giant zucchini again! AAAUGGGHHH!
...for the rest of us
Republican Perverts
Here are a few more names and a link. Former Congressman Mark Foley, of course; and former South Dakota state Representative Ted Klaudt; and former mayor of Clarkfield in Minnesota, Jeffrey Kyle Randall; and former former Floyd County leader Bobby Stumbo of Kentucky; and...the link, http://www.armchairsubversive.org/.
Now let's keep in mind the Texas legislature recently passed a bill that makes child sexual predators eligible for Death Row. If I didn't oppose capital punishment on moral and ethical grounds, I'd almost welcome the idea of the needle as one sure-fire way to bottle up the number of Republican batwings in public office.
